My Perfect #NBNBLOGSPOT

Last month I finally moved into my brand new workshop/ studio space :). Since then, Ive spend almost every single day working, making handmade dresses and blogging in my new space , its become like a second home: the more time I spend there, the more I become really attached to it! As sad as it sounds, it's always been a dream of mine to be able to have my own little cosy studio were I can spend my days sewing, crafting and blogging and even though it looks a little uninspiring at the moment,  hopefully I'll be able to create a space that's more 'me' with a little help from NEXT ;).

As I'm always super busy, I've not had the time to sort out any of the boxes and bags I've dumped there  ; half of my stuff is still piled up in bin bags at home.  My plan is to buy slowly so I can save money and also so I don't end up buying copious amounts of junk! I'm aiming to be clever by buying space saving storage and shelves and if no one can help me put them up then Ill have to purchase some kind of pink power tool and get it done myself! Once that all happens I can start to think about creating my dream studio!
Since next are currently running a 'blog spot' competition I thought it would be great opportunity to grab some inspiration and conjure up a wish list of everything I think I need/ want to creative an amazing work space!
What I really love about my studio is the fact that is based in a covered stable house, its one of the main reason that drew me to it. The whole space has lots of character with the original beams and exposed brick walls; its a great atmosphere for getting creative and motivated! When I first moved in, I kept imagining it was like a little log cabin since I have to heat it with a little gas fire; this where my inspiration board comes in! All the items above have been chosen with a cosy, log cabin in mind and I've picked pieces that are prominently red, white and brown. I chose the checked chair for the main feature and worked the other pieces round it.

As Its a creative work space, I think it's really important to have decorative features that are also very practical, this is why I've chosen the mini blackboard hanging piece which is handy for jotting down your weekly to do lists! The red metal filing draws are ideal for all my sewing equipment , the metal heart shaped hooks would be for hanging patterns onto and the clock for obvious timekeeping reasons!

For lighting I chose a wooden dog shaped table lamp as well as a stag printed lampshade to fit in with the log cabin theme! The desk was the best one for to save space in the studio, it has added shelves for convenience, I've teamed it with the black leather chair on wheels so I can get from one end of the studio to the other without getting out of my seat!
For the finishing touches I chose the flower heart shaped decoration for a bit of extra added love and a scented candle to make it smell nice and the dress making mannequin picture frame because I happen to make dresses for a living!

All of the pieces on my inspiration board are all available to buy from NEXT home now :)
What do you think about my dream Blogspot? Where do you do most of your blogging?
