The Great Gatsby has to be one of my all time favourite film adaptions, not only are all the character interpretations exactly how I imagined them to be but the whole cinematic experience is just breathtaking! The film was brought to life in an explosion of bold contrasting colours, sparkly designer attire and modern music; it really makes you start to question the excitement in your own life! 

I first watched the 1920's romantic thriller back in May and again last week when I was invited to enjoy a screening at the DVD release Party.  The event was held at the Roxy bar and cinema located in Borough, which happens to be close to where I live; it was super convenient after a long day at work! We were served a array of delicious canapés and treated to amazing cocktails, one which was aptly named 'Old Sport'. After a short meet and greet we sat down to listen to talk about vintage fashion by renowned fashion stylist Anna Dowd. 

The film once again was astonishing and it was like I watching it for the first time again, I've added the DVD to my Christmas list and can't wait to receive it next month!

The Great Gatsby DVD was released today- 11/11/2013 and is now available to buy on DVD and BluRay.
