Tartan Love

Today's outfit features one of my own dresses from Mod Dolly. I've been using tartan fabric for over two years now, its such a classic style and sells really well on a weekly basis. The pinafore style is popular shape this Autumn and I've created the style in lots of different prints and colours. My favourite in particular, is the ruby red shade of tartan I'm wearing today, it looks really great over a black or grey roll neck top or a light print blouse. I've styled it with some simple black tights, my new office tassel loafers and my mini tan satchel. What do you think? Would you wear a pinafore or do you think the look is a bit to young?

This weekend I moved into my new fashion studio in Brixton! The studio is based in a charming old converted stable yard just off Brixton Hill, its set up in an attic room with original beams, exposed brickwork and a lovely oak floor. I've been excited to move in for weeks and its honestly a big dream come true, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect studio to run my little fashion business from and I can't wait to get it all sorted out so I can concentrate on growing the label and pushing it into new markets! On Sunday I also launched my brand new website which features a more chic and grown up design; I've gone in a different direction with something that represents the true aesthetic of the brand I created two years ago. I also released a new look book fashion film which was shot by the amazing Hanna Kristina! If you haven't already seen the video, I've added it to the bottom of the blog post!
Let me know what you think! All the styles in the video will be available in lots of different fabrics and prints over the winter period. For now you can shop new arrivals here.

  1. I'm not sure I'd wear a pinafore. Not because you don't look adorable nor look too childish. I'm just not sure it is very me. Still, I love this and there is something very back-to-school style but all grown up about this.
