We all grabbed a large table so that we didn't have to stand all night, it was almost like we had bottle service because drinks were being brought to us literally every 10 minutes! At one point I had 3 cocktails just because they kept dropping them off! Luckily there were plenty of canapés to soak up the alcohol otherwise I don't think I would have lasted the night. Throughout the night we were generously served cocktail sausages, chicken satay skewers, mini burgers, goats cheese tartlets as well as chocolate brownies, mini cupcakes and a retro pick 'n' mix; we ate so much it was almost like a full course taster menu. The copious amounts of canapés levelled out the copious amount of cocktails so I ended up having a really good birthday night out and remembering it the next day!
Throughout the night we watched cabaret performers from singers, dancers, fire eaters and burlesque performers. I've never seen burlesque before but I've always been fascinated by it all, the dancers were really glamorous and I'd love to take Matt to show since we live so close to the venue!
As well as the cabaret, the main event of the night was the AX Paris catwalk show which showcased party wear for the festive season. I'm definitely one for sequins and AX Paris really didn't scrimp on the sequins and offered us an array of sequinned body cons and sparkly jewell toned skater dresses. I've got my eye on about 7 dresses, which I plan to buy if my bank account permits it!
Looks and sounds like you had an amazing time Amy! x
