Party Florals

Morning! This is my last time styling the floral skater skirt with ASOS and today I've styled the skirt with slogan t-shirt, some black tights and black heels. This is something I would normally wear on a night out but can also be layered for a simple day time look. Slogan t-shirts are set to be a big trend this Spring so i'll definitely be wearing this t-shirt with skinny jeans or with denim shorts this summer!

Working Florals

Morning! Today Im styling my ASOS floral skater skirt for work. To smarten it up I've added a simple white shirt and a blazer in pink pastel boucle. I've added some skin coloured tights with polka dot detail and some simple black ballet flats to finish the look! When I put the look together I didn't think that any of the items really went together but the outfit has definitely grown on me and I its such a great outfit for a night out too.

Casual Florals

Hello lovely readers, Im back after a small break from blogging! Today I'm styling this amazing floral skirt from ASOS into three different looks; the first look is casual! If you've been following my blog for a while you may already know that florals are my favourite prints because they're super versatile for A/W and S/S styling. In the winter I love dark florals especially when I find them on vintage dresses or slouchy smocks and in summer I love pastel florals or bright tropical floral prints on cure skater skirts and crop tops!

Todays skirt features quite a transitional floral print with its black background, you can style this skirt with black tights, a blouse and cardigan for the winter and when it gets really hot its perfect with a simple t-shirt and a pair of ballet flats or sandals. For my casual look I've teamed the skirt with a slouchy over-sized boyfriend jumper in pastel blue, some black tights because it was freezing cold and my heeled chelsea boots. I found the outfit to be really comfortable and the bright colours really cheered me up on a very dull wet London afternoon!

Oh Christmas Tree!

Like most of you, Christmas is definitely my favourite time of year; I've had my Now Christmas cd on since mid november and put decorations up in my studio weeks ago! When it comes to Christmas decorations I'm usually one to go for cheap 99p decorations, I don't have my own tree because my boyfriend and I travel up to the north to spend the whole of Christmas with our families. In November I decided to buy some tinsel and some cheap glittery ornaments to make my studio a little more festive, however a few weeks ago I got the most Christmassy little parcel in the post, compliments of The White Company. It was such a lovely festive gesture and just made me smile all day. I was going to attempt to hang them up around the office but I ended up putting them on my mums tree instead. My mums Christmas tree gets fuller every year because we're alway adding things; everything is mismatched but everything also has a memory. There are vintage decorations along with ones we made at school and things that have been given to us or picked up at a charity shop. I really packed the tree up this year by adding the decorations from The White Company but they've made the tree look really special and the candles look great on my mums fireplace and smell so nice! My favourite decorations are the knitted reindeers and penguins but there are so many gorgeous Christmas decorations available from their online store
How do you decorate you tree? Are you coordinated or do you prefer to be spontaneous? Answers below!

#LoveLabelTreat

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the #lovelabeltreat Christmas party, hosted by Very.co.uk, with my lovely friend Toni from Fashion Your Seatbelts. Toni always gets invited to the best events and because she's such a sweetheart she often asks me to be her plus one!

Recently I've been so swamped with stuff to do at work, I haven't had any time to do anything social, so it was nice to get out of the studio for a evening of complimentary cocktails and canapés!
I've been shopping at Very for a while now and even have a very account, its such a great website for ordering a last minute emergency outfits because you can buy most items for next day courier delivery. I'm also a massive fan of the Fearne Cotton homeware collection, every design is really decadent with girly touches but also quite gothic and baroque. I'm hoping to buy some pieces after the new year, hopefully they'll be in the January sale.

As part of the #lovelabeltreat we got to choose a complimentary party outfit which was a really lovely gesture; I decided on a lovely paisley shirt dress with contrasting collar. I was actually planning on buying the dress a few weeks ago so It was such a great surprise when I saw it hanging on the rail! After tucking into copious amounts of canapés we decided to get our hair styled together, I let the hair stylist do whatever she wanted as I've never really had much inspiration when it comes to my hair anyway. She decided to curl my hair and I ended up with amazing 70s-esque voluptuous hair-do which fortunately stayed in the whole next day too!

Thanks to Very and Love Label for putting on such an amazing event, Ill be outfit blogging the paisley dress next week when I decide how to style it!

Hope everyones enjoying the festive holiday! Ill be back tomorrow with a Christmassy post featuring The White Company

Label LOVE: The Little Deer Boutique

This week I've been lusting over The Little Deer boutique which is run by a lovely girl called Jade in Brighton. Started in her finally year of University, Jade's aim was to create a retail platform providing unique pieces for people wanting to express their individuality through the clothes they wear. What I really love about Little Deer is its mission to promote independent brands by selling a range of handmade, vintage and small labels including my Mod Dolly. Some of my favourite items from the shop include some amazing acrylic jewellery by Katze and printed clutches by Nicola Brighton. Above is a little wish list I've complied, hopefully my family will take note- hint hint…
